Provides overlap between your sleeve and gloves. When you pull your glove on, the sleeves don't push up. What is the purpose of the overlap? Keep your wrists warm when you work in the cold.. or protect from sun, heat, cuts. We make our sheet metal workers use something similar. These are thin "performance" T-shirts. They may provide a little UV protection, but they aren't going to stop a cut and they don't have any insulation value. But I don't find the opening in my boxer briefs useful either. It's like trying run my dick through a maze. What hard to pull 1/2" of dick through 3/4" of clothing? Must be a m fer to squat in the snow! I didn't think I had sent you a warm day pic. I recently bought some hi-vis long sleeve shirts. They have thumb holes in the sleeves. What the cock functional purpose do they serve? Provide a little warmth to my first thumb knuckle? Work great for skiing. What do they cover that your ski gloves don't? Nah, just covers down onto the hands so no uncovered area between glove and.cuff of the jacket.

Woolpower 400 gram and 600 gram tops have thumb holes. it is to keep your sleeves covering your wrists when it is cold. Not needed often in New Orleans.
