I try not to buy salted snacks as I don't want carry a blued rifle with salty hands.
This last fall, I carried shell on peanuts. Snickers bars are rugged enough to ride in a pocket w/o getting bashed up.

Hey Skeen, yes I do! And I've killed deer with a freshly eaten, smelly can sitting at my feet haha. For one during the rut I dont care about hiding any smell, and for two, I hunt in an area with lots of smells and human travel so it doesnt seem to matter much.

I take a sandwich (flavor of the month), jerky, a few pieces of hard candy and a bottle of water most times.

If Im out all day I take a sandwich and a few protein or nut bars or a apple. Water of course. If I am just going to a blind or stand for the morning or evening then I just take a bars andcan apple.
Life can be rough on us dreamers.

It's rare that I sit in one spot all day. Just can't do that. If I do than I need my coffee to wash down a Snickers or the shelled peanuts I pack my pockets with.

Took my young nephew out the last couple afternoons. We had Doritos, Heath bars, veggie straws and water to wash it all down with. Had a blast and managed to get a mature doe in the process! He’s hooked and wants to shoot one himself now.

If I plan on being out all day I would take a sammich, some jerky or granola bar, bottle of water and some schitt paper in a small pack.
Just because you're offended doesn't mean your right.

I take those crispy type honey almond granola bars and/or snack size snickers bars........ usually one or the other. The granola bars don't make me thirsty, so I tend to take them.

Trail mix, snickers, sweet and spicy mix, mountain house and a jetboil when going on a all day hunt. Nothings better then a hot meal on those cold Montana days.

I forgot ANY food today. It was tough. Yesterday I screwed up again.... It was raining and I switched packs in the truck right before going out so I've got a little bit of an excuse but I've been running heavy on the stupid lately.
