327 federal : 357 mag : 44 mag
25 auto : 32 auto : 380 auto: 45 auto
9mm : 40 SW
30 Super : 38 super: 10mm
The way I see it there is definitely a space for this when looking at the comparative power levels of available cartridges. This is basically the 32 French Lounge, minus the baggage. I also see a place for this with recoil sensitive shooters having another option besides the 32 and 380. Put this in a commander sized 1911, 10-12 in the magazine, and I bet it’s a sweet package.

At first, I had no interest. Then I changed my mind….
If it sells more guns, that’s a good thing. If it turns out to be a great cartridge for female shooters, that’s a good thing too. If the ballistics advertised are real world and it gives more magazine capacity for carry guns, I’m game for that.
In fact, any practical innovation in today’s gun world should be well received. I won’t be able to make my conclusion until I shoot one, but that will happen in time. I’m rooting for anything that keeps excitement up in the shooting world.
I enjoy handguns and I really like shotguns,...but I love rifles!

Hornady already offers soft-shooting 100gr defensive 9x19 load, but if extra two cartridges are important to you this new offering maybe viable option.

I wish someone would make a hi cap .38 super that would work in a concealable carry pistol.

I wish someone would make a hi cap .38 super that would work in a concealable carry pistol. Chinese make SiG clone called NP762 ie NP 7,62x25 with standard magazine capacity of 17 cartridges. Those sold in Canada have 10 cartridge capacity to comply with their stupid gun regulations. Serbs were planning on releasing their SiG/P-88 pistol called Scorpion? in 7,62, but I am not sure they did what they planned. While not 9mm it is close in diameter to this new Federal cartridge.

Imagine the LCP Max in this caliber. Likely 13 rounds in a flush mag. I don’t think we will see it in packages that small. Too long and too much pressure. Think more rounds in small 9mm platforms.

I can't see myself shifting from 9mm to anything else for my carry gun. The Glock 43X with 15-round Shield magazine seems to hit a sweet spot for me.
I don't have anything in 32 cal, but what I would be interested in would be something like a Ruger Single-Six, Flat Top, or Blackhawk convertible with cylinders in 327 Mag, and 30SC. Those two cylinders would safely chamber pretty much everything 32 caliber. That might push me over the edge into the 32 caliber club.

Disagree. It's the same length as a 9mm Para. And as long as the Chamber is pressure rated, and should be if it's anywhere near the size of a 9mm Para chamber block, given the reduced case diameter, the pressure could be a function of quicker burn-rate powder, and not have any appreciable effect at the muzzle. That would leave a thinner, high(er) capacity "Nano" pistol w/ 115 gr. std. pressure 9mm Para performance. Sounds good to me. GR

It is currently a .380 and .22 LR platform.

I'll guess no. The vids I've seen the new Csx is the smallest package and some 1911's.
Bangflop! another skinning job due to .260 and proper shot placement.

I've seen several people mention recoil reduction over the 9mm. Would there really be much, if any? You have a bullet of about the same weight, moving a little faster. 30SC HST-100gr at 1250 9mm GD 115gr at 1210. I think that if you can manage one, you can manage the other. They are in the same general range.

W/ the addition of a stagger, as well as the smaller diameter, might even get a coupla more rounds in. GR

Can't wait to see how 30 Super Carry reloading data compares to my 1200 fps .32 S&W long Ruger SSM loads.

👍 That was my post earlier. We will prob see it in what are currently small 9mm packages to get extra rounds. .380 will prob continue to own the LCP size guns.
