The question is, "Will America's neocon warmongers use the situation in Ukraine to kick off WW3?"

How so???

Hitler's motive was lebensraum for the Aryan race. In order to achieve this required the conquest of territory.

Putin's motive is a paranoia a being attacked from the West, which has became ingrained in the Russian psyche as a tesult of both World Wars. In order to prevent this Putin (like Stalin) wants a buffer from the West. Putin is more Stalin than Hitler.

As far as the mitary industrial complex is concerned, Washington and Eisenhower were correct.

It's not paranoia if it's true.

Who gives a phuuck. We can't manage our own problems. Let the Russians do whatever they want in Ukraine...hell are most those folks Russians anyway?

We need to sell off our territories and buy kamchatka from Russia. Would be some sweet hunting and fishing...

It used to be theirs. Why did anyone believe that Russia wouldn't regroup some day and start claiming its Soviet Union territories again?

This is along the lines of how I view the situation. Ukraine lies within Russia's sphere of influence, not ours.

Remember when there was talk about Ukraine joining NATO? This is a consequence.

The problem isn't Washington, it's most of western Europe. If they were doing what they should be capable of, Russia would mind its own business because it would be far weaker than them.

I just read a book by a retired British general (War, Peace and Whitehall) where he opined that other than the Baltic states (Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania) that we never should have tried to entice any of the former Soviet states such as Georgia and Ukraine to join NATO. It just rattled the Russians and made them more paranoid than they already naturally are.

Of course they will. Biden in office is their best time to grab what they want.

If D.C. is fuggin' with Russia half as much as it's fuggin' with America, I can understand why Russia has had enough of it.

It is our problem unfortunately. For many decades we used to be the #1 in diplomacy and superpower. Countries depended on us and went laxed.

Now we got the [bleep] in briefs in charge. To little to late for the European countries.

We broke our promise to Gorbachev not to expand NATO into the former Warsaw Pact. The Russians have every right and reason to distrust the USA and NATO. From the perspective of the Russians we are relentlessly encroaching on their traditional greater Russian sphere of influence. If the shoe was on the other foot we’d be gearing up for war to defend our interests.

The EU gets most of their natural gas from Russia so all Putin has to do is threaten to turn off the tap if they interfere. It would be a cold Europe this winter. I'm of Ukrainian descent and I don't even give a fuqk about them. They're just as corrupt as Russia, they just aren't Russia. Their leaders have stolen so much from the treasury that they can't afford the means to defend themselves. Besides, they're in a part of the world that's hard to get forces to, even if we wanted. Check out a map.

Fug all them. It's time to go back to the Monroe doctrine. Let China, and Russia fight over the eastern hemisphere, We will take the western hemisphere.

Putin just wants America's Bolshevik Revolution to stay out of Russia.

Russia has already had theirs.
