My never sharpened or used Muskie. Have a well used shorty and a pixie at the cabin. Ebay prices blew me away, have they reached cult status?
Anyone else a fan?

I have a pixie but it is rough and a bird and trout I bought new a long time ago.

I was at a gun show two weeks ago. Pixie in a sheath was $175 and bird and trout with an early original sheath was $200. Doubt that they sold.

I have a few that I have accumulated over the years. I have used the shorty at about 1:00 the most, but the BigHunter at 7:00 stays in my truck and gets used fairly often. The Magnum Hunter in the center was a gift from my Grandmother when I turned 16. No telling how many deer that thing has cleaned. It was the go to knife at the hunting club because it held an edge so well.

Yeah, I have a few. Never use them in the field, but some for cutting meat.

Mostly, I like them as a reminder that Gerber used to put out a quality product, not Bear Gyrills trash.

I have a beat up A425 I bought about 20 years ago. I purchased used on Ebay because of what I had seen it do in the field on a Elk by a friend of mine.

My son has nick named it "The Tool" because of its no nonsense toughness like a good hand tool.

I liked to never sharpened it when I received it because the steel was so hard.

Afternoon, I had a pixie for years and a flayer. The pixie is still up the trap line somewhere along with some other jack knives. Sit down for lunch, skin a few rats, eat a samich get up and head on to the next set. Dang!! oh well I'll get it on my next trip, (ya right) !!! I did find some, just not the pixie. Still have the flayer but it's not shaped like an original. Been sharpened so much the blade curve has changed, still makes a good beaver knife maybe even better. I told my wife to keep looking at garage sales for them but nothing yet. Not like I trap anymore but can't seem to stop buying outdoor stuff. Bought a small baker tent last year just so I can sleep in it in the summer with the grandkids. Probably never see the true bush. Was in cabelas a while ago and saw a nice rain coat, lite, water proof, breathable....... put it back, if it's raining I'm not going out, if I'm out and it rains I'm going home. Saw a used CZ the other day in 204 left hand. Got all the rifle loony flu sines!!! Had a sip of hopes #9, rubbed my chest with Barnes c10, went and layed down for a while and got through it. Boy that was close!!! I already have a 223. 17hornet. 6mm br. Bill out. πŸ‘£πŸΎπŸ‘£πŸΎπŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦
