This last fall, I carried shell on peanuts. Snickers bars are rugged enough to ride in a pocket w/o getting bashed up.

And I've killed deer with a freshly eaten, smelly can sitting at my feet haha. For one during the rut I dont care about hiding any smell, and for two, I hunt in an area with lots of smells and human travel so it doesnt seem to matter much.

Water of course. If I am just going to a blind or stand for the morning or evening then I just take a bars andcan apple. Life can be rough on us dreamers.

We had Doritos, Heath bars, veggie straws and water to wash it all down with. Had a blast and managed to get a mature doe in the process! He’s hooked and wants to shoot one himself now.
