Who else likes a Sig Sauer P239 ? I picked one up in a trade and I like it real well, matter of fact I shoot my P226 with the .22 conversion more than as a 9mm. I find the P239 to be the ideal size for a 9mm !

I had one in 357Sig and liked it but never carried it because it was the same size, but heavier than my G19. I ended up selling it when I was downsizing.

Mine is a 357 and I pack it every day. Never notice the weight, which works out well with the 357 cartridge.

I have one but almost never carry it. It's reliable, accurate and thin and I can pack with scarcely any noticable bulge. I like that I can carry hammer down on a round. I just think it feels odd in the hand and isn't all that comfortable to shoot. I picked up some spare magazines a few years ago and got sticker shock at the prices for spares. I don't tend to hang onto P series Sigs except my all SS P220. I'll keep that one.

When I traded for my P239 it had Hogue finger groove grips on it, while comfortable I found them not the least bit attractive. I replaced them with some beautiful checkered cocobolo wood grips which are much more attractive. I like the grip on the P239 much better than the stubby grip on the P365 which it replaced.

The Hogues, to me, detract from the 239's best atribute - a thin grip. I hated them on the 239. I went back to the stock plastic grips.

I just think it feels odd in the hand and isn't all that comfortable to shoot. I agree on the odd part, but never found it uncomfortable. It's a top heavy gun with a small grip, I can't think of another gun that combines those two qualities to the same extent. Maybe someone else can offer up an example.

It's not even top heavy when loaded. The balance is fine. There's nothing really wrong with it. I just never cared for the way it feels in the hand. Additionally, for its size and weight, it's got a low capacity. It's not that much more effort to carry a higher capacity pistol. My Glock 19s are only a wee bit taller and longer, the same width, and pack twice the round count. And the Glock 19 is more pleasant to shoot. The P239 is a nice little gun. But it's a gun you carry because you want to, not because there aren't better options. In fact, I don't carry any of my P series pistols anymore except, occasionally, my P220 at the range.

I have one in 9mm and it’s a good pistol but I don’t carry it much anymore. It fills a niche that is now better filled with other pistols.

I have three and love them all. My first one is a 9MM, then I bought a 357 Sig SAS. Then a standard 357 Sig followed me home. Great guns all!

I had one in .357 Sig back in the 1990s, and carried it quite a bit back then. Shot it a lot, too. For a couple of reasons, however, I sold it. Firstly, I found that no matter how much I practiced the transition from double to single action, I could never get good enough that I could start cold and have them both land in the same group (The first shot would always land several inches below the second and subsequent shots). Yeah, after a few mags full, I could make them all land in the same group, but that doesn't count. But this is not the P239's fault, since I have that issue with all traditional double action auto pistols.
Secondly, though, the high bore axis (vs something like a Glock) caused some pretty bad muzzle flip for me.

One in 40 S&W and one in 9 MM. I like the platform and wish they were still offered. If you find one available, you should pick it up and enjoy.

I have two in 40 S&W and two in 9 mm. The 9mm SAS and the two tone 40 S&W do get carried from time to time. Not as much as I have in years past; lots of choices these days. Still keep my eyes open at gun shows for a 357 SIG barrel StarchedCover

It seems like Sig quits supporting guns the minute they stop making them. Finding things like recoil springs for 239s is hit or miss.
