X-Files is still a favorite.

MASH, or Gunsmoke.

Comedy goes to All in the Family.

Sanford and sons.

As the current shows keep moving towards liberal BS,

The older shows get better and better.

I like King of Queens. Jerry stiller is a hoot.

According to Jim with Jim Belushi is funny too.

When I saw My Cousin Vinny I realized what great acting Fred Gwynn did in The Munsters.

Probably the Red Skelton show when I was young.

Justified was pretty good - suppose to be making a sequel before long.

My favorite was probably Deadwood.

Gunsmoke was the GOAT.
I like several mentioned. Lucy (in all variations) was another great.

Prolly all libs…

The Carol Burnett Show reruns with Harvey Korman and Tim Conway.

Not sure how they made it through some of those skits.

Mac Gyver. If I am ever captured in a third world country, I will be fine thanks to him.

I don't watch a lot of tv so I haven't seen some of the shows mentioned but I'll mention four in order of preference for GOAT: 1. Gunsmoke 2. Rockford Files 3. Corner Gas 4. Red Green Show (honorable mention to the black and white episodes of Andy Griffith)

The common denominator in all these shows was the fact they simply wanted to entertain you. They had no agenda to enlighten your politics or personal beliefs. They required no emotional investment . The actors did not take themselves so seriously and were not performing just to win an academy award. The Andy Griffith show contained a lot of positive examples of human relationship whether with family or friends. From that standpoint alone I think it is hard to find a better show.

New Season of "Resident Alien".
Different type of humor.
Pretty good show, but it doesn't have a huge following.

My two fav shows as a kid were;

And yet it irks me the poor dappled fools,
Being native burghers of this desert city,
Should in their own confines with forked heads
Have their round haunches gored."

I liked them both. I think they tie for the greatest TV show on earth.
