I know, they’re Youtubers and many of them don’t know sic ‘em about guns and I should consider it’s for entertainment purposes for other people that don’t know squat about guns. And, I have to admit that some of them I find entertaining and I consider myself to know sic ‘em and squat about guns so I’m just complaining because it’s too cold outside to do anything.
Just wondering now… Who’s dumber, somebody that doesn’t know squat or doesn’t know didlly squat? I’m think didly squat but sometimes I don’t know jackshit about what I’m talking about…

For TwoYubers and others of a below freezing age who gain all their gun knowledge from video games, a "real caliber" is something they imagine sends people flying backwards when hit.
Those of us who they demean as "boomers" know that a caliber is a bore diameter, not a chambering. And that no handgun chambering has movie-style knockdown power. And also that few if any of those kids have the discipline to learn marksmanship rather than merely pulling the trigger as fast as possible.
450BM: I own numerous Rifles in caliber 270 Winchester and am constantly impressed with how well that cartridge performs afield. I consider the 270 Winchester a "wonderful" (real?) cartridge. Hold into the wind VarmintGuy
.22 rimfire is lame-o...me, when I want a real caliber (love that term, which denotes almost nothing) I move up to the .25-20 (reduced load for cast of course).
Well this is a fine pickle we're in, should'a listened to Joe McCarthy and George Orwell I guess.
