Let’s go Brandon. I have elk and deer in two freezers and deer season is still on 😊 If people are hungry and won't work to feed their families hunting/fishing no longer has a season. Always been that way. Harder times are the less wildlife you will see. Gw It's called resident rim fire season. He who owns a crossbow/ample arrows can quietly survive hunger and quietly defend against aggressors. GW

I have heard elk will really get into your groceries.
Two tons a day!
I would not buy something that runs on any kind of primer given the possibility of primer shortages and even regulations. In fact, why not buy a flintlock? Really. Rocks aren't going away anytime soon.

It really seems like we really have opposite weather cycles. Dry there/wet here. Everyone's been posting how cold it is out there all winter. We just got winter weather two weeks ago.

HC, holy chit!
At least here with the deer, when it warms back up they sorta lay off. Sorta.
Of course they eat just as much when it's nice and green out in the field.

4.50 a pound! We had a little bit of a record -21 here the other morning. I don't really remember last time it was that cold. Got up to 5 during the day though. Just got a whole cow ground into burger, pretty cheap but the kids gotta eat..grin Around here everyone biches about bear, but at least they sleep most of the winter.

Not just beef prices. Paid $3.99 per LB today, for a couple smoked ham hocks today at the local store. Made some ham and bean soup w/cornbread. Kind of pricey for "maybe" getting 2 OZ meat off each one? Oh well, it sure adds the flavor, so I pay the price and eat well!
