I sighted in my new to me Tikka T3 Lite in 243 other day. while waiting on it to arrive weeks ago, I found/ordered 100rds of their 70gr Varmageddon ammo. it shot like a house afire! Easy 1/2 sometimes under that! Now, I know Tikkas are known to be accurate, but I didn't expect the ammo to be that good either. Its accurate is all I can sat for now. Give it try you 243 users! smile

I handload it, not factory ammo user... but its super accurate....

for my use, I am using 4064 or 3031 for powder.... and shooting them out of Remington, Savage and Ruger 243s....

Speers 70 gr TNT is another good bullet.... as are the various 75 HPs from several manufacturers.. I find them more accurate than the 75 VMax...

I bought this ammo for the added benefit of the brass, How much 4064 or 3031 do you use with the 70gr bullets? I have some 70gr Hammer Hunters but not sure what to try with them yet. I have Varget also and, of course, the slower powders too.

I have used 70g NBT in a Rem 700 .243 for varmints at long distances or when it's windy with great results. Seems like the .243s in general like this 70-75g bullet .

Lately the long long range varmint stuff is getting handled with a 6.5 Grendel with 120g Hornadys and it's good out to 800 yards. I've found that a lot of coyotes in our area will hang up at 500-700 yards when responding to a call and many times that's all the shot opportunity you get.

Long time 70 gr NBT user
None avail around here. Still got one box left
Thought about trying the flat base 70s.

I run the BTs on a healthy charge of 4350. It blasty w 22" bbl but accuracy is good.

Has been across a few rifles.

Amongst the guys I shoot with the 70 BT and Varget is a legendary load.

I often have trouble finding varget and have used RL15 and h4895 with good results as well.

I haven't used the Varmageddon in the 243 but I do shoot it in my 6mm.

Only killed a few coyotes with it but it hammers em.

The 70 grain Ballistic Tips do too as do most 55-80 grain bullets in 24 caliber.

I found even better accuracy, as well as an increase in velocity with Ramshot Big Game and the 70 gr Varmageddons and Speer TNT in my .243 Win. It shoots the flat based bullets better than the semi boat tail Nosler Ballistic Tips. I was using IMR-4064 previously.

70g nbt or 70g varmageddon in front of 2700 or h380, dang super accurate, runs about 3563 fps, slams coyote down.

I’ve used the 70 NBT in my 243 Win and 243 Ackley for long-range rockchucks. Accurate and deadly.
