Life would probably not worth living if a full blown Nuke war erupts. It would be a Mad Max scenario for sure. Nah. Never give up. Ever. Not ever. Not once. Never. Period.
Quit giving in inch by inch then looking back to lament the mile behind ya and wonder how to preserve those few feet left in front of ya. They'll never stop until they're stopped. That's a fact.

Surviving the blast maybe if you are 20+ miles away, but look at Chernobyl (sp) . Everything is contaminated. I don't worry. I am 30 miles away from Norad and Space Defense command.Prime targets. If WWIII breaks out and nukes are a used, all of he big super powers will no longer exist Last time I checked some years back, the firecrackers in use now would level most everything out to 70 miles of ground zero. Of course, that's back when I had a buddy in SAC that was joyriding KC135s and a B52. I don't know what they have now, but I wouldn't think we've downgraded any

Twenty miles away at control point the ground shook so bad vehicles bounced around at 15 seconds after zero. Those were less than 5KT, 1000 feet down

He never spoke to me about it, but my mother said that him and the other people on the decks of the ship were burned as if badly sunburned and their uniforms scorched slightly. She said he had nightmares about it every night up until cancer took him.

If WWIII breaks and nukes land. I'll just say goodbye to planet earth. And if things go well and I remain alive. I'll be grateful.

Yea,I got into it just as the above ground test were stopped. They killed a lot of people. My boss , the chief engineer Frank Shelton was at every above ground test detonated. I can't figure out why he did not die of cancer

My lifelong rabbit-hunting buddy was aboard ship during the Bikini Atoll tests in the early 1950's.
In all the years I knew him, he never mentioned it once. I read about it in his obituary, two years ago. Lived to age 91.
