Posted in Classified and here for the Africa hunting crowd... My old friend and trusty FN action SAKO in 375 Wby is up for sale, since I'll not have use for it anymore. It's been a great safari and elk rifle and is in very good condition. The very nicely figured stock is hand basket weave checkered. It was done by a pure expert. It has one standing and one folding and will include the scope mounts. Hinged floor plate and 3-position safety. Yes. I fire form 375 brass to the Wby chamber. That's how Roy did it in the beginning. It shoots the standard 375 H&H well.

Can you post a picture of the top ring? I have a FN Sako 375 - it’s top ring is notched. It is notched. All the Mausers in 375 I've seen are, to accommodate loading the longer round in the standard actions. When Dennis Olson re-barreled my old pre-64 Mdl 70 from '06 to 375 H&H he notched the receiver.

That checkering is amazing. You would be hard pressed to build that rifle again with that basket weave
