Looking to trade this Excellent condition, Ruger red pad, tang safety, ultralight, in 250 Savage. It has only a couple of very light scratches in the butt stock, blueing is excellent, with no wear. I can send much more detailed photos than I can get to download here, to anyone who wants them. This rifle is not for sale, trade only.

What I want: Pre safety Marlin 444 in excellent shape. I would prefer the shorter barreled model, but would also consider the 24" model also. I have Ammo&Brass to go with the 250Sav, so would be looking for some 444 ammo in the trade. Thanks for looking.

Scarce as hen’s teeth, took me 8 years of looking to snag one. Was always a few minutes late to the party.

I hear what you guys are saying, but here’s my reasoning for trade only. Both the rifle I have and the rifle I want are pretty scarce, and both are pretty desirable. In todays crazy market of inflated prices, I am hoping to find someone with a 444 Marlin who may be excited to own my rifle. We both end up getting a good deal, and avoid the crazy gun market that is todays world.
If this ends up being a futile effort, I will come up with what I feel is a fair price and post it for sale here. That being said,I would like to give this trade proposition a fair chance. I went into this knowing up front that it was a long shot. Thanks.

Are those swivels original to the gun?

Sling studs are original, I added the swivels.
