Difficult question.
Winchester 290 with a zillion rounds through….accurate as new when it was under the Christmas tree.

Nice quarry! So you still have rabbits. In the woods around our house they seem to be extinct but in the towns and on cemeteries they are still abundant.

Kenlguy: That is a cool looking Rifle tri-pod! I have the early version of that one and the main difference is the cruder Rifle holding points on my tri-pod. Those on your tri-pod appear to be adjustable for height and such? Good for you on the great looking equipment! I think I have shot in a spot that looks very similar to the site in your photo! Probably a coincidence? Keep after'em - theres more out there! Hold into the wind VarmintGuy

I sold a couple safe-queen firearms to Scheels, and they gave me a great price for my firearms, as I would purchase a new firearm in turn. So I purchased a new Tac Sol X-Ring, Take-Down, Backpacker .22 rifle that I never would have bought straight out. This is absolutely my favorite .22 LR rifle! <> https://tacticalsol.com/Detail.aspx?PROD=1398390&CAT=13298 <>Then I made a similar trade/purchase for a new S&W Model 41 .22 LR Target pistol. My favorite .22 LR, handgun! I think I originally purchased all my trade-ins from Fargo Scheels: 20-30 years ago, or more.

I heard the xring accuracy is hit or miss, what are you seeing PWeed?
I actually bought a lightly used non takedown version at a local shop, embarrassingly.... I have not shot it yet.
Those backpackers stocks are nice, I have one on a 10/22.

Rifle would be Remington 541-S I’ve had since the late ‘70’s but a Remington 547-C is making inroads. Handgun (revolver) would be a Smith 63, 5” barrel.

Most of my sentimental firearms were stolen years ago so that makes this easier.
Last one to go these days would be the Walther TPH. For a tiny little thing it's incredibly accurate and fun to shoot.

Kimber of Oregon 82 is my favorite .22, but the one I grab the most often is an old Ruger 10/22.

Adding one as a close second to my just one Marlin XT22, plain functional accurate, changed the front to truglo rather than post, it’s accurate, right size and doesn’t need a lot of extra care.

Lots of fantastic rimfires in this thread! My favorite rimfire seems to change from day to day. At the moment I have a fascination with a Springfield Model1922 MI that had been converted to a M2. At some point along the way, a previous owner decided to sporterize the original stock on the rifle. I was recently given an 03-A3 stock that a friend no longer wanted and Viola!, I now have a .22 caliber 03-A3! Shoots like you wouldn't believe and even has provisions for a bayonet in case I'm short on ammo. :-)

Tough question. Two Remington 513's and two T/C Carbines.....and a 10/22. They all shoot well and serve their intended purposes, so I'll say it depends on what I'm doing. They all have their purpose.
I am..........disturbed.

Like many here.....lots of different rimfires in the safe....but if I could only have one rifle and one pistol......I'd have to pick my 452 American and a Mk2 Target.

I would have a hard time choosing just one- at the moment it it probably my 40X Rimfire Sporter But I have several more that could take its place on any given day... Bob Nice rifle Bob. I think I shot that one? My favorite is my model 52B:
I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

For me it’s hard to pick - 22s are my favorite! For rifles - the middle one of these three is right up there. I hunt/shoot it often - but sunny days only! Winchester 1890 semi-deluxe in 22 WRF. For pistols the one I grab the most is my stainless MK II bull barrel with Leupold delta point. Whatever the dot is on gets a bullet in it.

Those backpackers stocks are nice, I have one on a 10/22. The first time I took it out, with some older friends - I was afraid they'd think I was crazy. But I didn't care. The Tac-Sol X-Ring Take-Down rifle was smooth, easy, and accurate, in everybody's hands. They liked it.
