I just picked up a CVA Scout single shot in .300 BLK that will be a short range, suppressor host for hunting. Max range will be 75-100yds, probably more like 50.

I'm looking for something lightweight, with CLEAR optics, and would be great if it had an illuminated reticle. No fancy reticles, a duplex-type is preferred.

What would you recommend?

Budget is flexible (let's just say $1000-1500 or less) and yes, shots will likely be in low light situations down in the swamps.

Come in well below your budget. I have the same scope with a busier reticle. I have not used it in those critical first and last few legal shooting minutes, but based on the piddling I have done with it, I'd trust it to take me there.

Kahles... used 30mm tube.

Kahles is so bright it is damn near night vision. I own 6... I am always on the hunt for more. Lower the power the better IMHO. I will hunt/shoot 400-500 yards with a 1.5x - 6x 30mm tubed Kahles.

To each his own...

If you are not actively engaging EVERY enemy you encounter... you are allowing another to fight for you... and that is cowardice... plain and simple.

A 1.5-4 would be ideal but nearly all have 20mm objectives. Small objective = not good for low light.

I have found that when shouldering for a close range shot you wind up pointing right on target. You might consider this:

Zeiss Conquest 4x32 MC 50yd Parallax Rifle Scope

Find a used one, they are out there.

Hawke 1-4
Bullet proof. Decent optics

Budget not an issue, get the Vortex Razor Gen 3 1-10
