I ordered a Tikka T3X SL in .223 today and when it arrives, I plan to mount a SWFA 3X9 MQ on deck.
I had planned on using Sports Match 30mm medium rings, but they're out of stock and a phone call let me know that they may be months out.
I can get my hands on a set of the Warne 14TM 30mm medium rings right now - the reviews look good and they have the recoil pin on the front ring, which I like. They clamp on like the Sports Match rings.
Anyone have any experience with these rings on your Tikka? I'd prefer to mount the scope as low as practical and still exploring options...

If I couldn't find Sportsmatch I'd use the Warnes. I'm using a pair now on my Tikka CTR with no issues.
It is irrelevant what you think. What matters is the TRUTH.

OK, unless someone out there has a good set of Sportsmatch rings they’d like to sell, I’ll pick up the Warnes.

They improved the Tikka Warne rings a few years back. New design is much better. Nothing really wrong with the old one though. It's the recoil lug they changed, to be stronger.
I have always used Warne rings on my Tikkas. No reason to change. Makes more sense than using screws in bases when there is no need to.

I used the Warne's on Tikka and Sako for years and never had an issue. Very tough rings. Only reason I moved away from them was that I read in a few places that vertically split rings can adversely affect tracking due to the fact that they clamp the tube with uneven pressure because you tighten at the top instead of both sides equally. I never had an issue, but I switched over to horizontal designs.

+1 on tawnado. I ordered a set last week. Big Ed Whitearrow, I just ordered a set this morning. They don't indicate how long it takes to deliver - have you received yours yet? The pics I've seen with SM rings and the SWFA 3x9 looks perfect to my eye. BT53
