I really don't need any of these, but you aren't going to beat the deal. Burris Droptine 3-9X40 with ballistic plex for $110.

I just wish we knew where they were all made. Some are shown and some aren't.

We did a thread a while back of all COO's for Burris scopes

They are a good scope. I bought three of them to outfit my three son's Mauser M12's. They all killed deer last weekend. Frankly, I do not see any difference between them and the FF-II.

Made in Philippines. Good scopes. I have two. One is mushy on adjustments, but does just as it should.

Burris headquarters is in Colorado.

I'd have to wait to see if it is a good as the FFII. A good track record would suffice. Until then, I'll keep using the FFII.

I'd like to know what the difference is. Doug, do you know? It's odd for a manufacturer to position very similar scopes at very similar price points. I bought the Droptine, because I really liked the G2B reticle that they have since dropped from the lineup.

Droptine is the modernized, manufacturing optimized version of the FFII. Essentially, they’re the same scope.

Differences include:

Magnification ring
FFII – One piece design, whole ocular turns
Droptine – modern ring design, ocular does not turn when adjusting magnification

Turrets
FFII – Old school coin-slot style turrets
Droptine – Modern E1-style, finger-adjustable turrets (that can accept custom dials)

Aesthetics
FFII – Knurled, low profile turret caps
Droptine – Typical looking turret caps

Doug, how would the Sig Whiskey3 3-9x40mm non-illuminated compare with the FFII or the Droptine? I know the Sig is also Filipino made, do you know if it's the same OEM?

$109 Droptine all gone from link posted above. Too late to the party. 3 hours xxx minutes left on the flash sale page.

My mistake. I thought the owners were in the Philippines, but maybe that doesn't mean anything anymore. After all, Armscor is made in Stevensville, MT but is owned by the Rock River Co in the Philippines
