Those are all wonderful verses.
Here's a few that the Lord led me to this morning.
I was reading 1 Chronicles 21 when I noticed something for the first time in verse 26.
"And David built there an altar unto the LORD, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings, and called upon the LORD; and he answered him from heaven by fire upon the altar of burnt offering."
I don't remember noticing that before, the part about God sending fire from heaven to consume the offering, answering David's prayer. Then I recalled another passage about God consuming a sacrifice in the same way when Elijah prayed, but couldn't for the life of me remember where to find it. At that moment I opened exactly to 1 Kings 18 and the Lord brought my eyes immediately to verse 38!
"Then the fire of the LORD fell, and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench."
Upon reading 39,
"And when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces: and they said, The LORD, he is the God; the LORD, he is the God."
He took me directly to 24!
"And call ye on the name of your gods, and I will call on the name of the LORD: and the God that answereth by fire, let him be God. And all the people answered and said, It is well spoken."
I'm blown away by the way the Lord was directing my morning devotion. Needless to say, there's more to say, but I'll limit this to the topic at hand. The LORD, He is God....and He sure is good!
