I was reading an old Gun & Ammo this morning when I came across this comment by Jeff Cooper.
"We are not entirely sure of our ground, but we believe that this is the first time in history that the troops have had to be ordered to not insult the "commander in chief".
Bill Clinton was President at the time. I wonder if they haven't had to reissue that order? Certainly would be relevant.

I can remember a couple of dining ins when the toast to the president had everyone turning their back to the table, but toast went to the office of the president.

I think it was last year, the officers in the training wing here all had to “renew” their oath of office. 🤬
