I would guess that only 1% of adults are 'woke' versus 50% of journalists.

Wow. Reading comprehension, and thinking beyond your personal
pet peeves escape many.

Through my handicapped brother I have known a number of folks who
would love to go to this game. And couldn't attend a "normal" one.

Get your head out of you political motivated ässes and read!

It's for handicapped people!

Not Snowflakes!

Real people, really screwed over by..... whatever.

Strip clubs should have safe spaces for the “overwhelmed”

They do! It's called a private show. At least that's what they tell me....

Some people are really screwed up. It’s one game meant for special needs People. I hope you never have one, but if you do , you will understand!

Good on them for doing this, I hope they get a big turnout.

I understand what your saying. My mom had serious PTSD and things like hockey games really bothered her. She still went to my daughter's game, I had to warn her before the buzzer goes off.

Atleast it's not another LGBT awareness game.

Now if you want to see some Old Time Hockey, I’d suggest you drop down a couple leagues and go see the Lumberjacks on $2 beer night. As many fights in the stands as there is on the ice. Good times.

ETA: looked up the schedule. Seems they folded a decade ago. Hanson Bros played there way back in the day. End of an era. Damn.

Yeah games out of LC have become mostly civil. We hit the lumberjacks alot. My daughter plays for their youth league so we get discounted tickets and sometimes her team gets one of the "suites".

LC and Kwings arenas are 2 of the best places we play at.

Were you talking about the fury team?

Hockey is not a quiet sport. Nature of the beast. Wondering if they are gonna hold up "quiet" signs.

Don't tell me it's not about politics either...time out rooms??? Really?

You should have heard the chick on the radio. The founder of this organization that worked with griffins to make this happen. JFC, another Jesse Jackson type.

For those that have these disorders, I do feel for you, I really do. I'm not a total cold hearted bastard but silencing a game that is loud, isn't right. The noise gets the crowd going.

It’s only 1 game Joel! Get a grip! If you don’t want to go, don’t go!

Bingo.

Guys here are looking to be triggered.

One night they're going to back off the loud noises and harsh lights so autistic fans can maybe attend in person.

WTH is wrong with that?

And, by the way, this is not an example of wokeness.

This isn't "woke" ...it's for mentally challenged people that are sensitive to lights and sound. I'm sure there will be a few Soy Boys taking advantage of the situation, but it's not about them.

Yeah, the Fury...I think they were in the Colonial League. Real Old Time Hockey at the LC was the Mohawks. Those guys were brutal. No helmets and no teeth.

I feel for a hockey parent. I think it's the most expensive sport to outfit your kid with. I played a bit as a kid in the UP. All my stuff had been handed down a half dozen times already. We didn't care. All outdoors too. Very rare to actually skate in an arena. Had a lot of fun.
