Yes, I have an S&W N frame 3" problem: OK, now I feel inadequate. Really nice!

The 3" K-Frame S&W revolvers are extremely hard to find nowadays and, when you can, you will have to pay a hefty premium for them vs a 2" or a 4", so it appears that many people share the same "problem." Most folks who have them are reluctant to let them go.

All I have in the 3” class are a Smith 44 Special that was a special run for a distributor many years ago, and a GP100 44 Special that I acquired when they were first introduced a few years ago. I’ll never get rid of either. Both were gifts from my son, SAS.

I believe it was late 1980’s, if I recall correctly. I had one of the 624’s Sold it foolishly about 20 years ago.

I bought one of the 624’s when they first came out too. Eventually sold or traded it foolishly. I was very glad to have the one I have now gifted to me. Both of the Smiths shot and shoot really well, as does my GP100.

I think mine is getting closer to a 3” problem as I age. I was fighting the urge to post something. Thanks. While you went there, you held up short. I was gonna go the whole yard!

My 3” model 60 Smith is easy to shoot and carries well. Yes. I swapped the rubber-ish grip for a laminated boot grip. Seems to recoil less now. Still a bit peppy with full power .357s .. Federal 125s. I flattened a cougar that came at me in our yard last fall with it, bout 22-24 feet away and doing that low crouched cat thing right at me. I already liked the gun but now it is my new very best friend in the whole world. Saved my ass. Tom
