Well... always late to the party, but at the party now...lol

I have a Barrett Fieldcraft in 6.5 that I need to put a scope on....any pictures of yall's Fieldcraft rifles & optics would be great.

The rifle has a picatinney base on it now, so I might roll that way... considering the Warne Mountain Tech low rings

Talley rings are an option.

I am not twisting turrets or providing overwatch so.....plus I have a Leupold 4.5-14x40 LongRange (30mm tube) in the safe so I might roll with what I have....let the hate flow..lol

Any and all suggestions welcome...

Thanks

I hope there's no hate.

I've always looked for one of those rifles, could never find one. Would like to pick it up see how it feels. Now they stopped making them for awhile.

Never know when I may have a chance.

Take care

I really like my Tract Toric 2-10x42 BDC on my 6.5x55 Barrett. They sell Warn rings for it too.

I hate to say it; but, it's probably not "for awhile", it's probably permanently.

You bet. There is a thread, I think on this forum, that has all of the heights for rails and rings.

Here it is.

I will try my hand with the search function & check that out...thank you.

I believe if I keep the rail, Lows will be the way on rings

I wish mine was in 708, but with the balance, and features, I ain't gonna complain.

I figure a 129 interlock @2750 should work on deer , coyotes, etc

Thank y'all again

Really?????
4 of them?
Lol

I very much like that 708 setup...
Hello, I am lying..I like them all.

Yeah, I figure the Fieldcraft is no more....I took the opportunity (ok, I spent like 2 months actively looking for one, ) when this one popped up.I jumped.

I am very happy with the rifle. It balances nicely with the 24" barrel.

Thank you 257 for the pictures....and again, really???

I tried to like the rail/ring method with the Fieldcraft, but I couldn’t get low enough for me, so I ended up with tally lows.

May be able to post some side by sides tonight.

What’s the measurable height difference between the leupold rail/seekins and the Talley lows?

0.16” is what I got. 0.4” tube to receiver for Talleys. 0.56” for rail and Seekins. Had to eyeball, but that should be very close.

I wonder about heavier scopes with the Talley Ltwt rings and how they will stand up to recoil over time. Read a thread recently, and it is a concern long term. I don’t have them on any heavy kickers.

Dude. You don’t even know the Fieldcraft sickness. Many more than 4. Lol.

Oh my....you sir, are my hero.

I missed a .25-06 near me by about a day....

I do understand, I already want another one. But they are hard to find

I think the Talley rings would allow the scope to be lower, but the Warne would be more durable.

This is my first Creedmoor, and my boys have ribbed me mercilessly over the choice...lol

Oh, and I will not ask how many more than 4, so I will not covet thy assortment of Fieldcraft rifles...lol

Maybe just a little jealousy... Ha ha ha ha

I’ve had 1” Talley lows, 30mm Talley lows, and a rail with 1” Mountain Techs on mine. Just before last hunting season, I went back to the 1” low Talleys with a Trijicon Accupoint 3-9.

Best by far; lightest, and best cheek weld. No more futzing around for me.
