What are everyone’s favorite scopes for heavy recoiling handguns? I’m shopping for an optic for a .308 TC Encore pistol with a 15” barrel and really want something that won’t rattle apart. Thank you in advance.

I like the Leupold 2x a lot, I have one on my Freedom Arms .454 Casull. It has held up well

I like the Leupold 4X on my Gary Reeder .410 GNR. It has also held up well

I am really liking the Burris 3-12x32 that I put on my Nosler 7mm-08. It is new but I hear good things about it. I had mounted a rifle scope on it but I couldn’t get used to it so went with the Burris

I've got a couple of 2X Leupolds that have been making the rounds of my .44's and .41's for about 25 years with no problems.

Same here. The Lupy's are pretty tough although I had a 2x Burris that was equally as tough and easier to zero thanks to the "click" adjustments. I carried it to Ak and the baggage goons had their way with it both directions and still zeroed after all that.

Leupold 2X,4X & 2.5-8X EER's in use for decades w/o any issues.

Other hand gun scopes are seriously lacking in the eye relief category.

I have a couple Burris pistol scopes, my only gripe with them is the eye relief. They don't have the eye relief that the Leupold's do. I have long arms and I don't have to bend my arms as much with the Leupold pistol scopes. The Burris's work fine for shooting off the bench though.

I just got a 460S&W

I would like to put a Japanese Weaver on it but I don’t know if it will hold up

I know that if I put a Burris or Leupold and have a problem it would be stood behind and either repaired or replaced

I doubt I could get a Japanese Weaver replaced

Thoughts?
Hank
