So I know there are no Boy Scouts in hockey (NHL) but I have to admit Marchand really crossed a line with his latest fiasco. I understand getting to an opponent and trying to rally your troops but his latest episode just has me scratching my head. So he gets suspension (I think 5 games, can’t recall for sure) personally I think when/if he comes back that every team that plays against him should put out their version of a goon and let him get pummeled every game from here on out. Maybe he will get the message

But, he seems to be one of those a-holes everyone hates...................unless he's on your team. 0.9 pts per game is nothing to sneeze at. Even given the penalties he takes.
I think the suspension might have gone a few games higher, given his history.
And mostly, from all the games I've seen him play (not too many as he's in the East and I mostly watch West games), every team ices a particular person when playing against the Bruins just for the eventuality of having to get after him.

Now Jumbo Thornton................scheidt be going on then............Joe was never afraid to get into it when necessary, Don't get to watch many Florida games now, but I doubt even at the advanced age he is, that he'd let Marchand get away with that if he was on the ice at the time.

I am a Blues Fan and have never liked him, but seems like when someone wants to square off with him he seems to answer the bell. I am not sure him getting in more fights will deter it, he is just that player. Still would like to see Tom Wilson or someone like that in the east get ahold of him.
