So not to get to personal, a loved one is in the hospital. Rules are, to visit you need to have had a Covid vaccine at least two weeks prior. Option 2 is have a Covid test. Home test not approved. PCR test is valid for 48 hours from time of test, but the lab turn around is 48 -72 hours. By the time you get results it’s not valid. Option 3 pay $129 and get a rapid test. You get results in about an hour, but it’s only valid for 24 hours. Oh and I had Covid 2 1/2 months ago.

At work they have one of those temperature screening deals. Stand in front of the IR camera and if you have a fever you're supposed to talk to the nurses/test etc.

Well EVERY temp scan I've done has come back outside the norm.

My body temperature is either 66-75 degrees or 120+ - nothing even within 10 degrees of 98.6

There's no science in any of this.

Yea I was reading the rapid test was a cheap, fast and reliable test. It’s $129. The freebie takes so long the results are meaningless.

Yet you can have a vacation card and get a free pass. I know two fully vaccinated people that had Covid last week. The people that have had Covid get no credit for natural immunity and it probably just as effective or more.

It's laughable that being vaccinated is OK when it hasn't done a damned thing to prevent spread.

What’s surprising is how few people can come to this conclusion.
But blindly believe whatever the media puts out.

Getting these rapid tests every day. This morning while waiting for my test appointment I told a friend I probably had a better chance of getting Covid standing in line than if I didn’t test. Low and behold the guy behind me was testing because he might have it.

It’s just a stupid game. Needed a vax card to get into a place for a job. I had rona a year ago so I see no need for a’vaccine’. I just showed them a screenshot of someone else’s. I knew they wouldn’t check it against my ID. Sailed right by the bs.

I fear, I'm going to have to deal with this soon.
Not sure how it will play out.

Relating to several above posts. We were temp screened getting off the aircraft in Ixtapa a couple days ago. 85-90 air temp. Planes are kept cold, so I was wearing a T, a shirt, and two sweaters, and a hat. No way my temp was anything under 101 when I got to the screener. I don't think he was even reading the screen he was going so fast. Works for me! smile

Masks - at the restaurant where we watched the SB, you had to don a mask to cross the threshold, and they gave you a shot of hand sanitizer. Not one of the people (except staff) in the place was wearing a mask the entire time we were there.(6 hours). Two steps past the threshold, I took mine off. Not a word was said. I'm guessing they were paying lip service to .gov regulations, however they are worded.

I have my vax card - but we will still have to do a test 24 hours before boarding an aircraft into the US. Dunno about here, but in Amsterdam (Delta) , they never looked at it - just had us sign an affidavit that we had it. .gov worthless, BS. regulation to the airlines.

Edit: Make that "1 day" before boarding. If flight leaves anytime Friday, testing anytime Thursday OK so may be more than 24 hours- just not over 48.

I have only worn a mask twice (to see my heart doctor) and I have never been tested. No shots or boosters. I may (or may not) have had a dose of the original version Dec 2019/Jan 2020. Sick as a dog with most of the 'classic' symptoms. Since that, just a single head cold in two years. I have no plans to be tested, or get vaccinated

Seems like they’d want that device serviced/calibrated/replaced, or simply done away with.

Just walk in the door and keep walking , go to your loved ones room and cuff yourself to the bed , make them call police to remove you . Have someone record it and post it on line. Total crap keeping loved ones apart like that ... Best of luck to you and yours, prayers sent ... Joe
