Hello, I have recently inherited a Savage 100L .308 from a deceased Uncle, rifle was made 1978. I am not left handed so I was looking for an approximate value of the rifle. I would rate it as 60% condition, it has seen many seasons of hunting. I would rate it as well used, but not abused. The rifle has no sentimental value to me, I was given some other firearms in his collection that I will definitely not be selling. I just have no use for a LH rifle and have no friends are interested in it. Thanks

I am assuming it is a 10 or 110. There is a market either way. I would be interested just for the action if the price was right. I am not sure what a fair price is right now though.

I would also be interested in it for my LH shooting son. As stated, not sure of a fair price, but he prefers the old school blued/wood vs todays cheap plastic. Let me know if you have some pics.

Thanks

So what would 60 % of the cost of a new Savage 110L rifle be?

60% condition is pretty rough. Having bought and sold a dozen or so vintage LH 110's over the past couple years, $250-$600, depending on condition.

L, or CL? Does it have the removable magazine? I have one in 30-06, that I inherited from my FIL and it is a great gun. Almost impossible to find extra mags, for it, though.

Greetings, and nice handle 257bobber. I am located in WI also. I have a Browning BLR in .257 Bob. It is my favorite deer rifle and built the same year I was born. Glad I got mine when I did, they are getting very expensive!

A BLR Bobber is on the bucket list. Like many, should have acted years ago. My saving grace is my Pre-64 Bobber, especially now that the kids have been able to use it with me. My sons first rifle was a Savage 110L 257 Rob. It’ll probably be out after coyotes this weekend with the full moon and warming temps in south central WI, but not Madison.

I have a brand new in package magazine. Pops had a lefty .30-06 and got it as a spare.

The lack of stocks for the old short action screw spacing, plus magazines being hard to find and expensive .....

The old lefty stagger feeds are kind of a tough sell.

I have two of em, both lefty.
One was a .308 that pops rebarreled to 6mm Norma BR.

And another that was rebarrled by Mark Penrod to 243.
That one has no barrel nut, was redone like a 700.
Pops could t get a stock for it, so it sat in cabinet for 30 yrs.

Check Stockade Stocks for a lefty.

I bought one for him, Kevin, maybe? About 10-12 years ago.
