I'm looking for a 16 gauge Ranger O/U shotgun with double triggers and 28" barrels. These were made by Marlin for Sears prior to WWII. I have one of the newer Marlin branded ones but would like to find one of the early ones in good condition. Thanks

It took me 17 years but I found all 5 of the Marlin 90s/Rangers; 12,16 20, 410 O/U and 22 over 410. Unfortunately for you the first 3 went to a happy collector last year.
They are out there so hang in there and you'll find your 16.

That's a nice collection. Do you happen to know the weight of the 410? I've never even see one and always wondered if they were made on a 410 scaled frame.

Not a ranger, but here's a marlin 90 in 16 gauge at a great price in Pennsylvania. It's not mine, I don't know the seller, and I don't know if he'll ship.

The 410 O/U is much smaller framed and, of course, lighter barrels weighs in at 6.7 lbs.
The 22LR over 410 is beefier at 7.9.
Since the 12, 16 1nd 20 are gone, you'll need to weigh your 12 and 20.

Not to hijack the thread, I too have the 410 O/U both standard and the "Skeetking" which I a straight grip deluxe model. Very slim and sleek. The word "cute" describes it well!
I also have a standard and engraved deluxe 22/410 along with a standard 30-30/410.

The 16s are out there, just be patient and one will turn up.
My friend carries one as his Pheasat gun.
