I happen to think theyre beautiful creatures. Love seeing them. Whether they should be protected is beyond me, I still love to see them nonetheless.

Christ, the things are as common as Redtails around here in the winter. I catch them on my coyote bait piles all the time.

They say everything happens for a reason.
For me that reason is usually because I've made some bad decisions that I need to pay for.

I wish they would too.

Killing and eating invasive Eurasian Collared doves in front of our house is not a bad thing either:

Maybe PA should be focused on live-streams of elections instead.

Not like that here in SWVA, just making a comeback the past few years.

I was at near eye level with them, took a minute to realize what they were.

I’m not overly impressed by the construction work of the nursery. Clearly that 2x6 isn’t on 16” center.

If they're scavenging, they aren't useless. I'd rather they eat up than have a rotting carcass lying around.

LOL I leave it up on the screen at work. It really is impressive though when you watch....they know how moving that one stick, that one corn husk leaf whatever helps keep the egg warm as the temp and winds change. Natures cool stuff.

The local paper just had an article about an eagle that couldn't fly, was captured and taken to a wildlife rehab center. They claimed it was lead poisoning because the eagles eat all the gut piles that are laced with lead from being shot. The article didn't promote a lead ban but did promote the use of non lead bullets. Or take your gut piles with you.

They didn't say exactly where it came from but it was somewhere around Philly. God only knows what an eagle might scavenge and eat in that area.
