Picked up one of these off the classifieds here. Really interesting design, John Browning was a genius. If you ever get a chance to closely inspect one check it out

The workmanship on the 520 & 620 Stevens shotguns was amazing and the takedown design IMO is brilliant.

Posted this a few weeks ago on the "Campfire Forum" ---- Dad's shotgun looks just like the one in the first video . . . I have my Dad's WF model 30 16 ga he bought in 1947. Just finished repairing the butt stock. I used this gun all through HS and college but it hasn't been shot in about 40 years. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gUCjRWgJGeE ----- Found this later as well, showing the take down procedure . . .https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PjDKiAp_KrI
Someday I hope to be the person my dogs think I am . . . The only true cost of having a dog is its death. Someone once said "a nation of sheep will beget a government of wolves." Shiloh Sharps . . . there is no substitute. NRA Endowment Member

I have a 16 ga mod 30. Westernfield. I think only thing different is the safety which is inside the trigger guard ahead of the trigger. Bill

My 16 ga westernfield must be a earlier than what your showing. The safety on mine is directly in front of the trigger inside of the trigger.

The early Brownings also used the safe inside the TG.
