Pre-season scouting is looking pretty good for him this spring.

I just hope the rain washed the turkey poop off his porch............and that in the heat of the hunt he remembers to slide the glass door open. grin

Neat picture! And the scenery in the background is pretty nice too!

Good friend up by Mauston, WI kept finding a basement window broken, multiple times. He'd fix it, it would get broken, repeat! He set up a trail cam to try and figure out what was going on and found that a local tom was attacking his reflection in the window! Lol!

This is EXACTLY why it's hard not to laugh when someone tells me they're hunting this old bird that's "SO SMART ".

They're as dumb as a box of rocks. Their nature can make them frustrating to hunt, at times. But, Einstein they AIN'T.

Buddy of mine came out of the woods a couple years ago to find 2 or 3 jakes pecking the crap outta the front bumper of his pickup . grin

Just call him into the house and ask him to take off his feathers and take a nice soak in the turkey roaster.

The kitchen's right inside that door, so it shouldn't be a stretch

Had one jumped on me once while sitting with full camo ....mask on face....looking down trying to get a call to make a purr...heard something coming fast, looked up and 2 toms running fast as the they could cover ground, First bird jumped on my head...fighting him off best I could...throw 3 at him never touched a feather.

That's why turkey guns have short barrels. For those self-defense situations, when a tom tries to rape you.

Just be glad you weren't tying your boot

A turkey may not be able to add 2+2, but I would bet he could outsmart you in the woods and still peck on a bumper.

"Outsmart" ?? No.
