Picked up a Remington 600 made in April of 1964 in the mighty triple deuce (222). Can’t believe no one else bought it. The 222 are hard to find..

I eyeballed a Rem 600 .222 today myself, I wonder if it was the same one.

Only one I saw had a bushnell scopechief on it. Guy in the back corner had it. Last one on Gunbroker had 31 bidders went for over $1100 it looks like. Arctic ammo had dies, some brass I bought 50gr bullets. Might head to the range tomorrow and shoot it.

I saw two 600’s, so I might be confusing them. I remember seeing one towards a corner and then one I handled was closer to Snowhawk’s
table he was selling powder on. I also looked at a Rem 722 .222 yesterday at Chimo’s.

Safe to say this one was hardly shot or cleaned real well ran a patch down the barrel with some patch out on it. Let it set for 30-35 minutes ram a dry patch down it no bluing at all. Overall I think I did good on it. If it will shoot 55gr hornady soft points be a decent little caribou rifle. Supposedly those little 55’s hold up very well. Or fly down to Idaho this year and take it sage rat hunting.

Great input on the 600 in 222 as I have one here that's going out in an estate sale and I was wondering if there was interest in Alaska.

Sometimes these gun shows get boring same rifles but every now and then guys drag out some interesting rifles. I’m no fine gun color but I know what’s what. As I was walking out couple guts asked what I had said rem 600 in a 222 added this was the deal of the gunshow! They all looked at me weird. Lol

Probably thought you were a dumb ass and meant a 700 in .223!
