I’ve begun thinking of 257 Wby as a “reloading only” proposition for this reason. You’d have to be mad…or rolling in it.

GreenAcres is a whore,everything they sell is significantly overpriced. Just look on ammoseek. 140 a box for Hornady weatherby ammo GTFO and not suprised.

Bought 6 boxes of weatherby brand (3600 FPS) rated 100 gr for $45 a box May not be able to do that again anytime soon But these will hold me for a little while

3 years ago my LGS got some kinda deal because they had cases of the stuff in the brand new boxes- 257 Weatherby Select Plus in 115 Nosler Ballitic tip. 40 bucks out the door. I tried some in my 700 CDL SF. Shot fantastic. Beat the reloads I bought. I went back and got 4 more boxes. They still had tons of it. Guess I should have bought a case!

Any Weatherby caliber exclusive to Weatherby (240, 257, 340, 30-378 especially so on and so forth) is stupid crazy high. If you shoot a weatherby caliber it will almost force you to reloading or break the bank one....GLWS great guy to deal with

any ammo isn't cheap anymore, but if you find it discounted buy it (what my dad always told me) i bought 2 10 box cases of remington premier 200gr swift a frame 300 remington ultra mag about 4 years ago bought both cases for $500 no regrets glad i did i have 3 stainless fluted senderos they all love the round
