Met a guy named Richard Head.
His dad told him that's what he was going to be called anyway, so he might as well make it official. There was a family with the last name of Head where I grew up. Rocker .. given name Rodrick .. was in my class. His middle initial was G. He wouldn't tell us what stood for so it became "Gives." His uncle was Richard ... and it was Richard, not Dick.  I had a coworker with the last name of “Head”. I used to tell all the new guys his name was Richard. Know a guy named Richard Head, a retired MD. Everybody called him Dr. Dickhead, didn't bother him a bit.

Had a less than pleasant encounter with a AF Brig General named Richard C Head when i was a lowly buck sgt working in the pentagon. he lived up to his name for sure. most senior officers i ran into were cool. Dick was not.

I used to work with Richard "Dick" Hertz.
Waiting with him in a crowded steel mill receptionist office and heard the nice lady say "OK, who's Dick Hertz?"

Wabigoon: Many years ago I was assigned, as a patrol officer, to work the Chinatown district of a large west coast city.
And as you may know many/most/all "Asian" folks are VERY poor drivers.
I was constantly investigating accidents and making traffic stops involving Asian peoples.
Some of their names made me snicker to myself. Last names like Dong and Wang combined with many of their first names were just embarrassing.
All traffic stoppees with terrible names were given warning tickets - sadly many of the poor drivers involved in accidents must get cited when in the wrong and when court dockets were called out often the people in the gallery of the court would snicker at their names!
But my favorite name of an "arrestee" (who did not get away from the scene of his offense!) was "Olin Gets Away Warrior".
When court time came for this American Indian the Judge actually snickered out loud at that name (and the obvious fact that Olin did NOT "get away"!).
Yeah I "try" to NOT make fun of peoples names.

I had a guy on my high school football team named Peter Rabbit. His dad was Jack Rabbit, and his little sister was named Bunny Rabbit. What a way to go through life. Bet they were some tough folks with names like that !
