The newer ones had separate barrels joined with a bracket. I would only consider buying the earlier joined barrel version. You would never lose money having the one pictured and have a darn good rambling around gun in the meantime. My other auto is a .45 The bitterness of poor quality is remembered long after the sweetness of low price has faded from memory
