This is my Interarms Mark X .22/6mm that I had re-stocked in a (IIRC) Richards Micro Fit laminate. What it looked like before the re-stocking.

That's a fast round. There's a fast twist barrel version called .224 Texas Trophy Hunter. Supposed to be awesome with heavy long bullets.

The new stock looks great. Damn nice rifle. I'm sure it will work just fine on jackrabbits too..
I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

Bsa, once I make sure it's sighted in and try some different loads, I will take it out rabbit hunting. It is a little small, but I think it'll work.

Kinda Shabby Chic.
I like it. Definitely an improvement over the thumbhole.
What bullets are you using?

Pappy, right now I have some 55 grain Nosler Varmegeddon loaded, I will use those to get it on paper. Then I have some 55 grain Sierra Game Kings loaded up and also some 50 grain Sierra BlitzKings waiting for their turn if need be.

Thanks for posting. Sounds like a devastating round. I like the new stock also.

I had a 22-6MM with a rechambered 22-250 CM barrel for awhile. It ate throat like nothing that I've seen. Some have suggested that the barrel steel was soft, since it had been rechambered from 22-250 because of throat erosion. I hope that your barrel lasts longer than my barrel did. It was great fun disintegrating watermelons with 55 grain VMax.

I use this rifle for coyotes, so not very many shots are fired in a year.

My thoughts exactly...I can't stand thumbhole stocks...

I saw Ken take a coyote through the neck with that rifle, at 185 yards - that thumbhole was NOT an impediment. Be careful that monster doesn't hurt you, Ken!

Nothing worse than listening to a wounded jack rabbit.... Ken, what is the twist rate on that screamer.. Rifle, not jackrabbit.. ha ha..

If you get a chance can you try the 53gr Vmax? I've been having great luck with it in my 3 22-250's. Even at extended ranges. Your 1 in 12 will stabilize that pill just fine and I bet accuracy would be excellent. I shot a yote at 600 yards the other day and that bullet did him in quickly. It has a bc of .290, which seems to work better than I would have thought at extended ranges.. Nice rifle you got there. Keep us posted on how she does..

I might try them in the future, but for now I'm going to try the 55 grain Berger Target and the 55 grain Sierra GK's.

Oh, ok. I didn't see you mention the 55 berger. That should be a damn good bullet too. You probably won't be shooting super long range anyway. The bc on that pill is .254, but I'm sure you already knew that. The flat base makes it great for mid range shooting.
