How light is TOO light? 2lbs? 1.5lbs?

What's your preference for a hunting rifle?

All of mine are 2-3lbs with no creep.

As long as the trigger is crisp I can handle even 4-5lbs on a hunting gun.

I like my triggers like I like my people, not creepy.

2 lbs. is approaching the light limit for my nerves, 2 1/4 is perfect. However in cold weather, I always pull my loose fitting glove off with my teeth

My ultra mag is 8oz, I think that's about right.

As much as possible I use a three pound trigger pull for big game hunting. I hunt a lot in cold rainy weather, sometimes wearing gloves or actually liners. I prefer this over lighter pulls as I feel it is safer.

I find anything below 2.0 lbs lighter than I like, even for varmint hunting.

2.5 pounds is my preferred pull weight, but 3 is fine as long as they’re crisp with no creep.

After shooting BR for 3 decades with 1.5oztriggers, I'm more comfortable with 1.5lb hunting triggers

My most accurate hunting rifle trigger breaks like glass just under 4 lbs, but when I get the chance to adjust my own 2.5 lbs feels just right and 3 doesn’t feel bad.

We are all different in our preferences.3-5 pounds with no creep and a glass-like break will hunt.

2 to 2.5 lbs with no creep is what I like the best.

Jim Carmichel wrote 3.5 pounds was about right for a big game rifle. I've always adjusted to that weight.

Depends.
Is this a rifle one is carrying hot in the mountains while wearing gloves in 10 degree weather? 3lbs. Sitting in a whitetail stand where there is time to cycle a round and take off your gloves? Whatever you want.
