Would you be concerned using copper solids in a 2000 CZ 550 American in .30-06?

Does CZ rifling have a rep for fouling badly? I've never seen anyone with this concern before.

I’m a shotgun guy. This would be the first time I get to use a rifle hunting. I’m slowly moving away from lead ammunition for hunting purposes so I wanted to check. I’ve only been studying what scope to mount on it, what rings to buy since I bought the firearm years ago.
In Iowa you couldn’t use a rifle for deer. Here in Kentucky, it will be my go to option.

No, ttsx or LRX

All of them do something better than the 30-06, but none of them do everything as well.

Barnes bullets produces the TTSX tipped triple shock x bullet. Copper bullet with an x shaped deep hollow point tipped with a polycarbonate tip to initiate expansion. One of the easiest bullets to get to shop well in my experience.
LRX long range x bullet. Another Barnes product same as the TTSX with a higher Ballistic Coefficient and designed to expand at the lower impact velocity of longer range shots also easy to get to shoot well.
Both are consistent and reliable hunting bullets.
Dre is giving excellent if brief advice

I got banned on another web site for a debate that happened on this site. That's a first

Dre is giving excellent if brief advice Thank you sir. As GRF stated, it’s also the easiest mono that is easy to shoot well. I shoot barnes out of my 6.5, 270, 06 and 300. One of the 06s is my dads M77 he bought in the 80s. And it’s fine. So I’m sure a 20 years newer rifle will Be able To handle today’s mono. You reload or buy factory?

There is a good selection of Barnes bullets loaded in .30-06 ammunition for deer the 150 or 168 grain TTSX would be ideal. If you can find some. Good luck and let us know how things work out. https://www.barnesbullets.com/product/vor-tx-rifle/

I switched to the Barnes TTSX years ago to get better bone breaking performance & penetration on elk. The lack of lead contamination is a nice bonus. My dads old 30-06 model 77 tang safety never shot better than a 2-3” group until I loaded up some fast 150 grain TTSX rounds now it’s sub 1” so they certainly can shoot well.
