Man I thought I got a nice wide 8 this year. Wow!
He looks hefty and mature to me.

A few days after our deer season ended we were hunting elk. We saw a really great muley right where it would have been easy to make a stalk. Who tells them when the season ends, anyway?

Nice buck for sure. He looks irritated to have his photo taken.

Heck yes, that's a gorgeous 8pt. He may have been visiting his brother in southern KS during your season.

Might be sneaking into the barn to hide. Getting into a brush pile and the rack would blend right in.

Doesn't look to have missed many meals. Great condition and coat for this time of year. Ours are beginning to look a little ratty.

1minute, We don't have the winter you all have, and there's a lot of food here we stay green all winter, this buck is a 4 1/2 to 5 year old, he should have more mass to his antlers next year, we will see ?? if we ever see him again. Rio7

I don't know how y'all do it down in south Texas seeing and killing all those mature bucks. Around here we let 3 1/2 - 4 1/2 year old bucks go thinking maybe next year, to never see them again.
