A national govt debt in excess of around 70 to 80% GDP is a benchmark for trouble, and we're at about 140% - double the level of concern. Look at what has happened in Venezuela the pasr few years - that will happen here if we don't get the federal budget balanced before the world stops hording dollars.

It’s really reckless to turn the dollar into a weapon and to debank entire countries like Justin Trudeau did to Canadians. Trudeau had to back down because there was a run on the banks because people no longer trusted them. The same thing will happen to the dollar though it wil take a bit more time.

Our leadership is increasingly erratic. And countries don’t know exactly what it is going to do. If you use dollars, you are a slave to the US, subject to being cut off and having your entire economy ruined because you’ve crossed the idiots in charge in DC. Such a system was acceptable when the people in charge were rational, intelligent, and stable persons. But now they’re all woke idiots who are racing to virtue signal on Twitter. No one wants to be part of a system where idiots like that control the very economic lifeblood of your country. They’ll look for something else and they will go to it much sooner now than they would have.
