It’s time to unload one of the nicer 99s from my collection, a 1930s Model 99 T in .300 Savage.
The gun is all original, and probably the nicest 99T you’re likely to see for a long time. 22” barrel, with the original dish shaped white line rear sight and red bead front sight. Original finish on wood and metal, and strong case hardening color on the lever. The gun is 97% in my opinion, but check the photos and make your own judgment. The rifle has a set of period correct Savage sling loops installed (maybe factory, maybe not, but they’re the right age).
No tang cracks, no extra holes for scope mounting, and no bad surprises. The are two noticeable scratches on the rear right side of the buttstock, but no other marks of any note. The gun is in remarkably clean and problem free condition. T models in any condition are hard to find, but in this kind of condition they are truly rare.
Price is $2200 shipped in the lower 47 (sorry, but no sales to California). Payment by US Postal Money Order or personal check (held until it clears). The gun must ship to an FFL or C&R. If your FFL dealer requires the gun to be shipped from an FFL on my end, add $50. The gun will ship in a brand new hard case and will be insured for the full purchase price. First solid “I’ll take it “ followed by a PM wins.
Thanks,
Rod
