1978-1984 was the post era of Safari, Medallion, and Olympian in which they were called BBR. Multiple shroud, trigger, and plating changes. 1984 the Abolt was named and more changes over 5 years were it was mostly unchanged afterwards until the Abolt II came out, then AB3 of course. There was also the run of Euro Bolts.
I have had several in all models; and they were and are all great guns!

I don't believe that is quite right, or I am possibly reading your post wrong. The High Power (safari, Medallion, and Olympian) were made through 74/75, and then the BBR came into production in 78, followed by the A-Bolt in 84. But the High Power and the BBR we're distinctly different rifles
