I use the 200 grain Core Lokt and the 180 Speer in .358 Winchester and .35 Remington . For deer either one works just fine.. As far as I can tell the deer can't tell the difference . I gave the last 250 Grain RN Hornady bullets I had to a guy on another board a year or so ago and ain't missed them yet . The .35 Remington's I own shoot the 200 CL RN better than anything else and my best load in the .358 uses the Speer 180 . I would use either bullet in either caliber for black bear if I had the chance to hunt them .

No flies on the 200 Hornady...and they are available. The deer I shot at 200 was slightly quartering away and it went through and took out the opposite shoulder and kept going. I wouldn't go with a 250 unless it was a RN, I think it'd open at lower velocity and more reliably in the 358 Win. The 225s are great, just keep an eye out for them, eventually you'll see them.

I like the 180 Barnes for deer and pigs. They are very accurate out of two 99’s

Thanks for the replies, I decided since so many of you recommended the 200 SP I will try them. Got 3 boxes of those 2nds coming from Midway...with tax and shipping it works out to .38 a piece. Not too bad, and should work fine

I'm not surprised that they are difficult to find. IIRC, they were discontinued because Nosler felt they were not quite as good as the Accubonds although close. In my rifle they shot equally well with the Accubond, at least in paper. Never shot any game with either bullet as the 225 gr. Barnes TSX was more accurate for me.
I have a couple of boxes of the 250 gr. Hornady RNs but they're slightly different in shape. Bought them at the same time and noticed the difference when using then in loads. The difference showed in the OAL of the newly loaded cartridges.

Finding bullets is currently like finding gold at the end of the rainbow. I’d like to find both .35 caliber Accubond 200 grain and 225 grain partition but so far no luck. I did find some 250 partitions but so far without loading and firing any thing yet my thoughts are the 225 grain would give me a bit more velocity. The only bullet that is readily available that I have found is the hammer bullet. I did order a box of 170 grain from Hammer, lighter than my mind says I should shoot but with the technology today bullet performance has up its game. I’ll be shooting a Savage 99 in .358 Winchester and really have no idea yet what bullet will work due to overall length ect.I understand that the Savage 99 is a strong action but I am thinking I probably can’t push many max loads.

I had used some of the Hammer 200 Grain bullets...just at over a dollar a piece I can't shoot as much as I would like. With 51-52 grains of TAC they moves at 2675 FPS. They do flat out work, just trying to keep my shooting from taking too much of my finances!

I’ve got an unopened box of Hornady 250 grain SP I’m not going to use.
I misread them thinking they were 200 grain.
