Thought you might like to see Jason. He's a great dog, with a lot of spirit, whose time is short. Nevertheless, he still loves to hunt and is rarin' to go. Gotta love him.<P>I'm picking up a new pup at the airport tonight. British import. Nice dog Rick. I almost didn't see the quail hanging from the tree. Valley quail, right? They sure aren't Gambels.<P>So, when can we see a picture of the new pup? I take it he's another Springer. Why did you go with a British dog? What's the difference from a stateside dog?<P>faisan

Faisan:<P>Yup, them's California Valley quail. There are gazillions of them in the state, and the season is pretty long, thank God, because just about every other good shotgunning opportunity in good ol' Kalifornia has gone to $h!t.<P>I'll post a picture of the pup and answer your other questions in Gun Dogs.<P>Rick
