I bought this rifle about two years ago for taking the occasional Doe here on the property but those days are coming to an end so I've decided to part with it. It has the excellent CZ set trigger which I have adjusted to about 2.5#'s, weighs just under 6#'s, and the 12 twist barrel easily shoots MOA with 70gr Barnes TTSX. It also has a nice set of irons so I installed a brand new VX3i 2.5-8X36 mounted in Warn med QD rings which ain't cheap but they're surprisingly repeatable. It also comes with an extra magazine and the original boxes and paperwork for both Rifle and scope. This rifle and scope are pristine with about 200 rounds fired. $950 shipped from a non FFL holder to your FFL Holder where legal in the lower 48'PM for shipping address. MO and a hard copy of your FFL's licence must be received within seven working days or rifle will be relisted. It's not fancy Wallnut but the wood actually has a bit of characture for a newer CZ. I put an old leather military sling on it (which I'll throw in) and named it my "Battle Rifle".

Bump....
Surely one of you Texas Hog Hunters or Eastern Brush Hunters needs a classy little fast handling, lightweight carbine.

Rusky, Thanks for the offer. I can't do PM yet, since I only signed up yesterday for the site. I've spent most my time on backpacking light and white blaze forums. My main goal is to have as light as possible a 223 in a traditional rifle style as a woods guns and to teach my son with a caliber that is available, cheap, and with a rifle he can carry in over distance. If I'm not mistaken, the prestige is a pound or so heavier than the carbine, correct? Though maybe that is the barrel and it seems that the CZ barrels maybe interchangeable?

The carbine weights in at 5.94 pounds and has an 18.5 inch barrel with open sights. The Prestige weights in at 6.2 pounds with a 21.5 inch barrel with no sights, The prestige has a better trigger, better bluing better wood and a jeweled bolt as well as other upgrades.

sounds like it is not as much different as I would have thought. If running it without a scope, how hard is it to add iron sights? Or would it be best to just run it scoped?

Rusky, I'm not sure how long I have to be a member here to send PMs, but I would guess that if you send me one, I could reply. Might be easiest to talk on the phone.

You are in purgatory!! No PM's to or from you. Hang in there and play their game, like posting more. I'm in no hurry.

With the accuracy these rifles have, it would be a waste to not use a scope. Do you have other rifles with scopes?
