Good Job. What part of TX were you in?

We have gotten started on the spring thinning process on pigs prior to planting season. Killed 21 in the last 2 weeks, but have a long ways to go. We have killed some big ones though. A 279 lb sow, a 231 lb boar, a 203 lb boar, and a couple more sows that were probably 210-240 but we didn't weigh them. I carry scales and a hoist in my truck but my partner doesn't, so if we are in his truck they don't get weighed.

That was near Bowie/ Nocona. Had another evening when I got four, and ended up with 3 over 200 pounds. One just made 200, a 215 and a 235

Bowie/Nocona is a good area. About 3 hours down 287 from me. Been through there way too much the last 2 years taking my wife to Dallas for cancer treatments. She is doing good now though.

Yep. Some of my folks settled in that area after the Civil War.
Stop in the Cemeteries there sometimes when doing Genealogy Research. Always liked that area.

Most of my pig killing at the Ranch nowadays is done with the .223 / .556. Really like the 62 gr TSX And 60 gr Nosler Partition Bullets in that caliber. They work well.

My favorite for that is the 65 Sierra Game King. I am hoarding my stash though, been really hard to find those the last 2 years.
