A mini 14 I just put a scope on. I'm shooting reloads, Wolf steel and some German Geico stuff.

My range was open all winter. My wife likes to call it the back yard but it's really my range. Spend quite a bit of time in the back yard ,seems there’s always different combos that serve different purposes to try out and then there are the stubborn ones that are either finicky or just a waste of components. Mainly shoot rifles these days but knock the dust off some handguns occasionally. . Seems my back yard may come to a close as more and more farmers are selling lots to family or those that inherited the neighboring property want the money and live in town or cities . Hope to get another season or two in and croak . Would have no use fo this place without my back yard . Kenneth

Just got a Kimber Classic back with a new Lilja tube in 7 SAUM I'm starting to load for. Also working with a CA Mesa 308 and am about out of Varget so am starting over with TAC. Recently got some Hammer bullets to work up new loads for my Fieldcraft 270 and Kimber 257 R.
Then the handgun projects - 5 shot Bisley 480 with cast bullets needs to be fine tuned. EAA Witness 10mm just got a red dot sight that needs installed. Getting the T/C Contender bug again and am looking to piece one together - have wood coming and looking for a frame.
Then there's blackpowder - bought 3 new muzzleloaders last year and haven't been able to get out with them yet.
Lots more but that's what stands out...

Taking a beginner shooter out tomorrow with an inherited Belgian Browning A5 3" 12 ga full choke and some buckshot loads. Hope to determine effective deer hunting range based on diminishing pattern density as range increases.
Ruger American Predator 6.5 CM after Ruger cleaned a burr out of the chamber.
A 6.5 x 55 after blueing and a nice bolt handle sweep adjustment by Kevin Wigdon at Williams Gunsight. It's what Mule Deer might call a parts gun. VZ24 action, Brownells barrel, altered bolt handle, used Bell and Carlson stock, Timney trigger, and an old purple Leupold ?3.5 x 10x AO scope. Loads with Barnes 120 TTSX and ?Hornady 120 GMX bullets seated at bullet maker recommended depths and some a little longer based on my determination that the chamber throat might be on the long side.
Ruger No.1 30-06 with some 165 gr Nosler Ballistic Tip over 56 gr IMR 4350 loads that shot a very nice group last fall and some substituting IMR 4451 for the 4350. Also some 168 gr TTSX loads.
