I’m intrigued by this reticle. Every time I see it I just think, “Man, I really like that!”
For those of you who have a Redfield Revolution with this reticle. Would you pick the Revolution with the Accu-Range over say a Leupold VX-2 with duplex?
I know the VX-2 has superior glass. But, is the Accu-Range reticle worth giving up the better glass?
I wish Leupold had offered this reticle in its VX-2 line.😞
Purchased a 4-12x Revolution with the Accu-Range about 10 years ago. Put it on a sporterized #4 Mk 1 Lee-Enfield in .303 Brit.. Always liked it, especially that reticle, as a .303 British isn't exactly a real flat shooter. The Lee-Enfield got de-sporterized a couple years ago and the Redfield is now on a T/C Encore rifle in 7mm-08. Haven't got to use it much yet but so far it seems real nice on the 7-08 as well.

if you're using a "regular" rifle (nothing on either end of the speed spectrum),
at full magnification, if you'll zero the crosshairs at 200 yards, you can use the top of the circle for 100 yard aiming point, bottom of circle as 300 yard aiming point, the "dot" as a 400 mark and the top of the bottom post as a 500 yard aiming point.
I wouldn't use it that way for long range target competition, but for general use, it's pretty close.

Exactly. The 200/300/400/500 POI dope works pretty well for a decent spitzer between 2,800 and 3,100fps at full magnification. If slower than that, a guy can dial down a few power to change the subtensions and still get pretty close.
I've also used them for leverguns with a 150yds zero and it yields POI at 200/250 for the first two aiming points. This is with something like a 35Rem or 30-30.

I have a circa 2016 Leupold VX-2 2-7x33 with the LRD reticle. I also have a circa 2017 Redfield 2-7x33 with the Accu-Range reticle. The Redfield 2-7 is slightly brighter than the Leupold 2-7. In my sample of two, in no way is it inferior to the Leupold. I also like the Accu-range reticle.
As to BDC reticles, they all take a bit of getting used to visually. My least favorite is the Leupold B&C, but I've even gotten used to that mess. I find the Accu-Range far less intrusive than the B&C.

I put a Redfield 2-7x33 Accu-range on my Ruger M77/44 and it made a nice combo for a quick brush gun.

The B&C is the easiest BDC I've tried or looked through, the best to see in lower light or against a dark background but still not cover up too much. The LR is good and quite usable but the dots cover more than they should at longer ranges, more so with the 2-7's than the 3-9's. The Burris FFII style of dots are better than the LR.
That's my unmitigated opinion and I'm sticking to it.......

The Accu-range reticle was my favorite ballistic reticle for the hunting I do. I bought a few Redfield because of that reticle and still use them on a few rifles. The big circle just draws my eye for a quick close shot, and the subtensions at distance work ok.
I have since moved on to ffp scopes with dials, but for hunting at 300 yards or less, which is 99 percent of my hunting, I would not be handicapped with my Redfields.
I have one on a 6mm arc right now that I'm debating swapping for a ffp scope. The drops just aren't working at distance, but am I really going to be shooting game at 400 yards with this gun? I doubt it. I really only plan on taking it where 200 is a long shot. It will probably stay put.
