The only thing about the Woodman muzzleloader is its weight. 5 1/2 lb rifle with a stout load of BH209 will be a handful and may not be up to 300 yard shots. You’d be surprised sir. It’s the Indian, not the arrow. Add a scope and make it 6 1/2 lbs and then compare it to a rifle that weighs 10-11 lbs and tell me which one will be more stable off a decent rest. On the Indian bit I agree, a skilled shooter versus someone that thinks by dumping $$$$ into a rifle it will shoot itself is just nonsense.

keep in mind the Woodman MZ is shooting a 200 grain pill at likely around 2500 FPS with BlackHorn which really helps in the recoil dept but the XTP or Remingtion bullet has the BC of a rock. Get the speed up with a heavier bullet and yes recoil will be brutal.
I'm sure it would be a joy to carry and looks to be very accurate for most reasonable shots.
The Pittman 303 has a verified BC of .400 which is not bad for a MZ bullet, from a decent rest sub 2.5" groups are the norm @ 400 yds If the wind is not bad, wind is killer with the large diameter bullets, long range kills are doable but one must put range time in to be proficient at distance in windy conditions.
In the end it all boils down to what type of hunting you do and at what intended distance.
