Most of my rifles or carbines don't take batteries unless the optic is illuminated, my weapon light or wears an illuminator. LOL.

Without ammo a gun is just a poor excuse for a club. I'm down to less than 10 different different rifle calibers. And I'm planning on selling my last beloved .280 and a 35 Rem before next hunting season. IMO, a person needs at least 500 rounds of ammo for each caliber rifle they own. And at least 2 rifles chambered in the same caliber.
Life is good live it while you can.

What???? No .30-30s???
I have 3 of them to take the slack up, two rifles and a Contender.
Extra points to Hanco for the .300 Savage.

So interesting you think hunting is like golf…

So interesting you think hunting is like golf… 😆. I've gone the other way. I have hunting rifles. That's it. IME - most of us are either a gun guy or a hunter, not hardcore at both.

This thread made me feel undergunned. I fully expected this thread to turn into a "the ATF is watching!!!" kinda thing. Pretty cool to see collections, though.

I still have a bunch like everyone else but last year sold off a 2 page list of them. Had too many and I mostly use 30-30, 308win, 338RCM 338win mag. I'm new to the 270win and 30-06 for hunting purposes and hope to get some time with them.

22 22 Hornet 22-250 5.56 243 6.5x55 264 7 Rem mag 30-30 308 30-06 300Win 338
None of the 22 centerfires have been shot in too long. The 264, never. The 338 30 years ago just to make noise. None of the 7mms in years. Nor the 30-30.
The 6.5, 308 or 30-06 get used. Oldest daughter uses one 243. The 22lr have fun.
The ARs get out and used.
